Check-In Agreements
Show your Terms of Service and/or Privacy Policy on the New Ticket check-in form, with an "I agree" checkbox and a draw-to-sign signature pad. The signed agreement — the exact text the customer saw, their signature, and the timestamp — is stored with the ticket and printed in the ticket PDF as a legal record.
Overview
Configure the agreements in Admin Settings → Check-In Agreements (under Operations in the sidebar). Each document has its own enable toggle and rich-text editor, so you can show the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, or both.
Signature Pad
Customers sign with mouse, finger, or stylus — works on desktops, tablets, and phones.
Text Snapshot
The exact agreement text is frozen at signing time — later edits never change what a customer agreed to.
PDF Record
The ticket PDF gains full agreement pages plus a signed-and-dated certification block.
Optional Per Ticket
Capture it when the customer is present; phone-in tickets can skip it.
Setting It Up
Open Check-In Agreements
Go to Admin Settings and click Check-In Agreements under Operations.
Enable and Write Your Documents
Tick Show Terms of Service at check-in and/or Show Privacy Policy at check-in, then paste or write each document in its editor. Bold, italic, underline, and bullet lists are supported; anything else (scripts, images, embedded styles) is stripped automatically on save.
Save
Click Save Agreements. The Customer Agreement section appears on the New Ticket form immediately.
At Check-In
When at least one document is enabled, the New Ticket form shows a Customer Agreement section below Technician Assignment:
- The agreement text appears in a scrollable box for the customer to read.
- The customer ticks "I have read and agree..." and signs in the signature box (a printed-name field is optional).
- The section is optional — but if the box is ticked, a signature is required, and vice versa, so you never store half an agreement.
- On ticket creation, the agreement is stored with the ticket: the exact text shown, the signature image, and the timestamp.
Legal snapshot: the stored record is a copy of the agreement text as it was at signing time. If you edit your Terms of Service next month, tickets signed today still show today's wording in their PDF.
The Printed Record
When a ticket has a signed agreement, its PDF (Print / Preview on the ticket page) includes:
- The customer's signature and date on the existing signature line of the ticket page.
- Full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy pages appended after the ticket.
- A certification block: "Agreed and signed by <name> on <date and time>" with the signature image.
